Air Canada improves service to Europe

5 February 2009

Air Canada has announced that all of its flights to Europe will now feature its brand new cabin interiors.

The improved facilities include lie-flat bed suites in first class and a seatback inflight entertainment system for all passengers throughout the aircraft.

Air Canada also announced developments in its North American network, with details of the forthcoming launch of four non-stop routes from Calgary.

From 15 May, the airline will fly from Calgary to San Diego, California, followed by flights to London, Ontario and Whitehorse, Yukon from 1 June and a service to Portland, Oregon launching on 15 June.

Daniel Shurz, vice-president of network planning for Air Canada, said: ‘We know our customers appreciate the choice and convenience of more non-stop flights and, with the introduction of these new routes, the airline continues to offer the most extensive route network from Calgary of any airline.’

Based in Montreal, Air Canada operates flights to more than 170 destinations on five continents.
